Quick Answer: How Do Suits Work?
Marvel's Wolverine ships 32 suits: most unlock automatically through story progression or are crafted with materials from Material Crates scattered across the missions, a handful are Digital Deluxe edition extras, and the final secret suit unlocks when you find all 20 Whisky Bottles. Every suit also comes with its own cosmetic claw set that can be equipped independently. Crafting suits is not just fashion — your health bar upgrades as you craft, and 20 crafted (non-DLC) suits fully upgrade it for the Adamantium Armory trophy.
| Source | Count (of 32) | How to Get |
|---|---|---|
| Story progression | Most | Unmissable — awarded as missions complete |
| Crafted | Bulk | Materials from the 68 Material Crates; craft in the Suits menu (Touchpad) |
| Digital Deluxe edition | A few | Included with the Deluxe purchase; do not count toward Adamantium Armory |
| Secret | 1 | Find all 20 Whisky Bottles |
Suits Are Your Health Bar
The hidden stat under the fashion: each crafted suit adds health, and the Adamantium Armory trophy explicitly asks you to craft enough suits to fully upgrade health — 20 of them, standard non-DLC only. PowerPyx's launch-week math: find all 68 Material Crates and you can craft everything the story has unlocked, any time after the campaign from the Suits menu.
- Craft early, craft often — every suit is a permanent health bump.
- Deluxe DLC suits do NOT count toward the 20-suit trophy tracker.
- All standard suits are available after the story — nothing is permanently missable.
The Full List and the Deep Pages
The all-suits page lists every suit at launch with its unlock source. The crafting page covers materials and the crate economy, the claws page covers the cosmetic claw sets, the deluxe page covers the Digital Deluxe extras, and the best-suits page ranks the looks worth chasing first. Suit names span comic classics (Classic Brown, Yellow Variant, X-Force, Old Man Logan) through the X-Men animated series, Deadpool & Wolverine's film suits, and original Insomniac designs.
